Learning outcomes: - know the physical laws that underlie the description of transfer processes in non-equilibrium systems; - know the mechanisms of diffusion processes in solids, melts and gaseous media; - know the methods of calculation and modelling of heat and matter transfer processes in materials. - be able to formulate the problems of heat transfer in materials and substances, predict the influence of various factors on the structure and properties of construction materials and evaluate the behavior of materials during operation of products;

Summary of the subject: The main provisions of scientific concepts, theories, which are necessary for mastering the methods of applying fundamental laws of conservation of mass and energy to solve practical problems of heat and mass transfer in systems of structural materials. The formation of the ability to use the acquired knowledge in solving problems.
