Required prior and related subjects: Previous disciplines: - Fundamentals of automation of automobile systems; - Probability theory and mathematical statistics. Related disciplines: - Mechatronic diagnostic and control systems of the car; - Information systems and technologies.
Summary of the subject: As a result of studying the discipline, the student acquires theoretical and practical knowledge and skills on how to methodically organize the implementation of experimental research, which indicators need to be studied and in what sequence to conduct experimental research. Knowledge how to correctly select material and technical equipment (measuring devices and equipment) for experimental research, how to select and analyze the necessary information. The issue of formation of research tasks is considered in detail. Methods and means of processing and generalization of scientific information by mathematical models with the use are covered methods of mathematical modeling and experiment planning. The theory of processing the results of a multifactor experiment using the software package STATISTICA is presented. Fundamentals of information retrieval and work with scientometric databases (Scopus, Web of Science).
Assessment methods and criteria: • current control (40%): written reports on laboratory work (30%), test papers (10%). • final control (60%, test (complex control)): testing (50%), oral component (10%).
