Learning outcomes: - know the basic principles and methodology of assembly of power units by types and performance characteristics of the vehicle. - ability to communicate, including oral and written communication in Ukrainian and foreign languages (English, German, Italian, French, Spanish); - ability to use various methods, in particular modern information technologies, for effective communication at professional and social levels. - ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions; - ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge; - the ability to act responsibly to the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.
Required prior and related subjects: prerequisites: Theory of car motion, Cars part 1, part 2, Car engines co-requisites: Environmental safety of road transport.
Summary of the subject: The introduction contains a justification of the relevance of the topic of the course project, the purpose, main objectives and object of study, a description of the structure of the course project. The first section provides a review of the literature on the selected topic of the course project. The second section is devoted to the calculation of engine characteristics. The third section provides for the calculation of the parameters of the friction clutch. The fourth section is devoted to the calculation of the parameters of the gearbox and check the ability of the power unit to provide the specified speed of the car. The conclusions contain a brief assessment of the compliance of the study with the task formulated in the introduction to the course project. The list of used sources includes the processed special scientific and educational literature, addresses of electronic resources of information, etc. The appendices contain two sheets of the graphic part of the course project.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (60%): compliance of the content of the course project with the task and the requirements of methodological recommendations for its implementation; independence of solving the task; correctness of application of calculation methods, validity of conclusions, observance of requirements concerning registration of the project. Final control (40%): differentiated credit (defense of the course project).
