Learning outcomes: Understand and understand the economic categories, laws, causal and functional relationships that exist between processes and phenomena at different levels of economic systems.
Know the mechanism of functioning of public finances, including budget and tax systems, business finance, household finance, financial markets, banking and insurance.
Understand the principles, methods and tools of state and market regulation of finance, banking and insurance.Use professional arguments to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to professionals and non-specialists in the financial field.
Perform functional responsibilities in the group, offer sound financial solutions.
Analyze the terms and conditions of sale of financial products and financial services, conduct activities for the conclusion of contracts, using the methods of banking and insurance marketing.
Diagnose the state of operational and investment activities of financial corporations and assess the prospects and risks of cooperation with them, carry out financial monitoring procedures
Required prior and related subjects: Money and credit, introduction to the specialty "Finance, Banking and Insurance, International Banking, Investment, Financial Market, KP for the analysis of financial institutions
Summary of the subject: The banking system and its elements. Banking systems of leading foreign countries. National Bank of Ukraine - the central bank of the state. Monetary policy instruments NBU and its implementation. Organization of interbank payments. Financial monitoring of the banking system. Financial stability and safety of the banking system. The regulation, control and supervision of the NBU for commercial banks. Fundamentals of commercial banks in Ukraine. Banking capital. Formation of the resource base of the bank. Cash and cash transactions of commercial banks. Credit operations of banks. Operations of banks with foreign currency. The investment activities and operations of banks with securities. Banking risks. Analysis of the commercial banks.
Assessment methods and criteria: current control (40%), including control work (60%).
