Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline the student must demonstrate the following learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline the student must know: • history, theory and methods of application of architectural details from stone; • methods of documentation and practical work in the restoration of architectural details and works of art made of stone; • list of materials and sequence of preparatory work; • methods and technology of working with additional masses in the conditions of restoration. As a result of studying the discipline the student must be able to: • independently determine the necessary processes and measures for the restoration of an architectural detail or a work of art made of stone; • independently and efficiently perform the package of restoration documentation; • have the technique and technology of work with restoration masses to supplement and perform them quickly and efficiently; • apply in practice the acquired knowledge for the restoration of architectural details. The study of the discipline involves the formation and development of students' competencies: general: • Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis; • Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; • Ability to evaluate and ensure the quality of work performed; professional: • Ability to master various techniques and technologies of work in the relevant materials by specialization; • Ability to generate author's innovative research in the practice of modern restoration of works of art; • Ability to use modern technologies for the reconstruction of works of art. The learning outcomes of this discipline detail the following program learning outcomes: • Basic knowledge in the field of basics of theory, design standards, methods of reconstruction of works of art; • Knowledge of the basic techniques of architectural and artistic modeling of works of art, taking into account their purpose and conditions of use, the requirements of the monument protection legislation; • Knowledge that allows monitoring the state of preservation and operation of works of art;
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisite: History of decorative and applied arts, Restorative materials science, Special plastics Co-requisite:
Summary of the subject: The discipline "Restoration Project" is based on the study of the following educational blocks - visual scientific and technological examination of a work of art made of clay, determining the degree of preservation and contamination, material, style. Execution of measurements on the basis of which the cartogram of losses is specified with the indication of all available damages, and also the project of restoration with reconstruction of missing parts of a ceramic architectural detail. Details are being prepared for restoration. Photo-fixation is a mandatory part of restoration documentation. Photofixation is performed at all stages of restoration work. The possibility of using synthetic polymers, pigments, biocides and antiseptics used in restoration for restoration is being studied. Study of artificial masses used in the restoration of works of art from artificial stone. The study of the discipline is the method of sequential teaching of material in the form of thematic blocks.
Assessment methods and criteria: Protection of practical parts of the work - 20 points. Written and oral control - 10 points Test Written component - 30 points. Oral component - 40 points The total number of points is 100
