Air heaters. Boiler fuel and its characteristics. Material balances combustion processes. Fundamentals of kinetics of chemical reactions. Boiler heat balance. The total heat balance equation. Efficiency of the boiler. Classification of furnaces and general characteristics of processes.
Assessment methods and criteria: • current control (20%): written reports on laboratory work, oral examination • final control(80 %): control measure
