Learning outcomes: Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the basics of professionally-oriented disciplines of specialty in the field of thermodynamics, theory of heat and mass transfer, theory of heat exchangers, methods of analysis of thermal networks, production processes, conversion and transportation of thermal energy, systems analysis technologies, efficient energy use Ability to solve complex, specialized problems and practical problems during professional activities in heat or in the learning process, which involves applying theories and thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer methods and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions.

Summary of the subject: The main provisions of scientific concepts, theories, and methods that are necessary to understand the principles of operation and functional purpose of thermal power systems and technical characteristics, design features, objectives, and rules of operation of thermal power equipment. Formation of the ability to use the acquired knowledge to solve problems of choosing optimal solutions for the heat supply of the population, public buildings, and industrial enterprises in performing managerial and design functions.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports on laboratory works, oral questioning (40%) • final control (control measure - exam): written form(60%)
