Learning outcomes: - professionally-specialized knowledge for the synthesis, design and installation of nuclear and thermal power systems of nuclear power plants taking into account the features of objects; - be able to apply the acquired knowledge and practical skills, adapt the results of scientific research during the creation and operation of existing nuclear and thermal power systems of nuclear power plants and their constituents

Summary of the subject: Continuation of the work of old NPPs in over-project terms. Problems of prolonging the work of nuclear blocs in over-project terms. Experience in continuing the operation of nuclear power units. The current state of the problem of decommissioning of nuclear power plants. Planning of decommissioning of NPPs. NPP decommissioning project. Handling radioactive waste. Decontamination. Methods of dismantling. General safety issues. Continuation of the work of old NPPs in over-project terms. Problems of prolonging the work of nuclear blocs in over-project terms. Experience in continuing the operation of nuclear power units.
Assessment methods and criteria: • reports on practical work, oral questioning (30%) • final control (control measure - exam): written and oral form (70%)
