Learning outcomes: • to know the methodology of designing and modernizing the objects of the chemical industry in accordance with the normative requirements of the current standards and technical conditions; • be able to develop modern technologies of synthesis of inorganic substances, water production and conditioning of sewage; • be able to make choices and calculations of equipment and graphically depict technological process of chemical and technological manufactures.
Required prior and related subjects: • General chemical technology; • Processes and equipment of chemical production; • Equipment of branch and basics planning.
Summary of the subject: Status and trends of design development. Organization of design and its stages. Preproject stage of development of design estimates (PDD). Specification. Output data. Basic work during the development of PCD. Composition and content of individual parts of PCD. Harmonization and approval of the project. Technological regulations. Construction of chemical enterprises. Principles of waste and low efficiency during design.
Assessment methods and criteria: • execution of settlement and graphic work (10%), oral questioning (20%); • final control (70% control measure, test): written-oral form (70%).
