Learning outcomes: • to know theoretical bases of chemical technologies of nitric acid; • learn modern technology of HNO3; • to know design features and operating principles of production of HNO3; • be able to apply acquired knowledge to solve specific production problems.

Summary of the subject: The main technical and economic conditions in the design of production of nitric acid under large unit capacity. Production of nitric acid under pressure 0.716 MPa, Features of the separate stages, their instrumental support. Production of nitric acid in AK – 72 unit. Features of the composing of equipment, hardware design of process.
Assessment methods and criteria: • laboratory work (20%), written component (50%, exam), oral component (20%)
