Learning outcomes: Results of studies: • to know the technological aspects of functioning of modern technologies of electrochemical synthesis of inorganic and organic substances; • to know the construction and principles of work of modern equipment of electrochemical production; • be able to develop modern technologies of electrochemical productions and estimate influence of technological factors on quality, exit and composition of finish product; • to carry out of scientific research or innovative project work, design the results of innovative activity.
Required prior and related subjects: Necessary obligatory previous and related educational disciplines: • processes and apparatuses of chemical technology • general chemical technology, • equipment of industry and basis of projecting; • technology of soda, alkalis, alumina • galvanic technique
Summary of the subject: Table of contents of the educational module: The basic is of the electrochemical production. The technological aspects and equipment’s of production of chlorine and caustic soda by membrane method. The ecological aspects are of production. Others modern production is of inorganic and organic substances. The general plant is equipments. The projection plants of electrochemical productions. Building part is of project. The layout is of the equipment.
Assessment methods and criteria: Methods and evaluation criteria: • current control (30 %): oral questioning, laboratory practical work; • final control (70 %): examination is in writing verbal form.
