Learning outcomes: • Know the theory of galvanotechnics and obtaining of metals by electrolysis, electrochemistry of nanomaterials, constructions and principles of works of modern equipment of galvanotechnics, electrometallurgies, structures and functioning of enterprises of galvanic production and their economy and ecology. • Able to develop modern technologies galvanic production to estimate the influence of technological factors on quality, yields, and composition of the final product, create a system production quality control; determine the parameters of the process and products and choose methods and apparatus for realization of control of technological process and parameters of products, execute research or innovative project work, design the results of the innovative activity. • Have conception about directions of development of galvanic production, nanoscience, and nanoengineering in galvanic coatings.
Required prior and related subjects: • Theoretical electrochemistry. • Technical electrochemistry. • Equipment of the industry of electrochemical productions. • Corrosion of metal.
Summary of the subject: Theory of galvanotechnics, obtaining of metals by electrolysis, electrochemistry of nanomaterials. Modern technologies are of electrochemical productions. Constructions and principles of work of modern equipment of galvanotechnics, electrometallurgy. The structure and functioning is of enterprises of galvanotechnics and electrometallurgy. The methodology of projection and modernization is of objects of galvanic productions. The ecology is of galvanic productions.
Assessment methods and criteria: 1. Execution, registration and defense of laboratory work – 50 marks. 2. Calculation of galvanic line of applying the coating – 50 marks.
