Learning outcomes: As a result of course study a student should have: -knowledge on the properties of convergent numerical sequences, continuous and differentiable functions; -abilities to use the apparatus of differential calculus to study the functional relationships and apply their knowledge to solve problems with other general and special disciplines.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: none Corequisite: Algebra and Geometry.
Summary of the subject: Elements of set theory. Real numbers. Numerical sequences and their properties. Limit of a function. Continuous functions. Differential calculus of functions of one variable. Taylor and Maclaurin formulae.
Assessment methods and criteria: Tests assessment, individual homeworks (40%), final examination (60%).
