Learning outcomes: - acquisition of skills for the solution of the tasks connected with automation of life support systems for administrative, industrial, office and residential buildings; - acquisition of skills of the analysis of separate technological devices and technological process of life support of buildings as a whole as objects of automation; - practical development of methods and principles of synthesis of automation systems for life support of buildings; - development of skills of synthesis and design of a function chart of automation of life support of buildings; - ability to choose technical means of automation for creation of the synthesized systems of automation taking into account technological features of process.
Required prior and related subjects: - prerequisites: control systems theory and fundamentals of system analysis; basics of robotics; technological measurements and instrumentation; automation devices for life support systems - co-requisites: theory of nonlinear and digital control systems; identificatoin of automation objects; automation of periodic objects; automation system design.
Summary of the subject: Explanatory note: Introduction. 1. Analysis of technological process as object of management (description of technological process; theoretical bases of technological process in separate technological devices and machines; material and thermal balances of technological object; definition and the analysis of the factors influencing technological process; justification of nominal rates of parameters of technological process; technological chart; drawing up the block-diagram of interrelation between technological to object parameters). 2. Development of the system of automatic control of technological process (the analysis of the block diagram of interrelation between technological parameters of object; the analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of object on separate communication channels; justification and choice of coordinates of measurement, control, alarm system, remote control, protection, blocking and regulation; definition of functional signs of systems of automation; the comparative analysis of the existing schemes of automation of technological process; synthesis of the optimum simplified system of automation for the set operating conditions of object; choice of technical means of automation; the specification on automation equipment, the description of a function chart of automation). Conclusions. List of graphic materials. Function chart of automation.

Learning outcomes: - to know the purpose, principles of construction and functioning of systems of automation of continuous technological processes; - to know the typical contours of regulation of parameters of continuous technological processes (costs, pressure, level, temperature, quality indicators). - to know the properties of technological processes as objects of management, methods and principles of their management; - to know typical schemes of automation of mechanical, thermal, mass transfer and other continuous technological processes; - be able to analyze continuous technological processes as objects of automatic control and to determine coordinates of object management; - be able to analyze the existing circuits of automation of control objects and identify the shortcomings of these circuits; - be able to synthesize automation schemes of technological control objects that take into account specific conditions of work and imposed restrictions on their work.

Summary of the subject: Classification of life automation systems. Typical contours of regulation of parameters of life support systems. Automation of water supply and drainage systems. Automation of pumping stations. Automatic control of pumps in water supply and drainage systems. Automation of technological processes in water supply systems (automation of the process of coagulation of natural waters; automation of water leaching during coagulation; automation of the processes of sedimentation and filtration of water; automation of the processes of water disinfection - ultraviolet rays and ozone, sodium hypochlorite; automation of the process of automation water). Automation of technological processes in drainage systems (automation of processes of mechanical, physical, chemical and biological sewage treatment; automation of the process of fermentation of sewage sludge; automation of the process of mechanical dewatering of sludge) Automation of gas supply systems (automation of gas distribution stations and gas control points; dispatching control of gas supply systems). Automation of heat generating installations (principles of automation of steam boilers; automatic regulation of processes of combustion and feeding of boilers with water; automatic regulation of steam pressure; automatic regulation of the heavy-duty mode of boilers; principles of automation of boilers; automatic protection of boiler installations; automation of auxiliaries. Automation of heat supply systems (automation of pumping installations and feeders; automatic regulation of temperature and pressure of water in thermal networks; schemes of protection of thermal networks; automation of processes of metering of heat consumption). Automation of heating systems of buildings (individual control of indoor air temperature; automation of heating systems feeders, circulation modes in pumped water heating systems; automation of hot water supply units; automation of air heating systems and installations of air-thermal curtains). Automation of ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems (principles of automatic regulation of air-conditioning and ventilation installations; automation of exhaust chambers; automation of exhaust ventilation systems; automation of air-conditioning systems; automatic blocking of fan motors, pumps and air valves; circuit diagrams; automatic circuits refrigerating machines). Principles of construction of automatic fire protection systems (principles of construction and operation of fire alarm systems; design of automatic fire extinguishing systems - water, foam, gas, powder and aerosol).
Assessment methods and criteria: Current monitoring of laboratory classes is carried out in order to identify the student's readiness for classes in the following forms: • a selective oral survey before the beginning of laboratory classes; • evaluation of the student's activity in the course of classes, submitted proposals, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, additions to previous answers, etc. The final control is carried out based on the results of the current control (survey at the beginning and during the defense of laboratory work) and the exam.
