Мета вивчення дисципліни: Formation of theoretical and practical students’ knowledge on the basics of state regulation in the banking sector.
Завдання: GK5. Ability to make informed decisions SK1. The ability to use the fundamental patterns of development of finance, banking and insurance in combination with research and management tools to carry out professional and scientific activities. SK3. Ability to apply managerial skills in finance, banking and insurance. SK6. Ability to apply interdisciplinary approaches to solving complex tasks and problems in the field of finance, banking and insurance. SK7. Ability to search, use and interpret information necessary for solving professional and scientific tasks in the field of finance, banking and insurance. SK10. Ability to perform scientific research in the field of finance, banking and insurance, taking into account the tasks and existing limitations. SKS-3. The ability to transform the skills and abilities of scientific research into the management of strategic development of the financial market and its participants, improvement of banking state regulation, internal audit and controlling, management of banking risks, design of banking products and services, taking into account the peculiarities of using the European banker's certificate.
Learning outcomes: PLO 01. Use the fundamental laws of the development of finance, banking and insurance in combination with research and management tools to carry out professional and scientific activities PLO 02. To know at the level of the latest achievements the main concepts and methodologies of scientific knowledge in the field of finance, banking and insurance. PLO 06. It is accessible and reasoned to present the results of research orally and in writing, to participate in professional discussions. PLO 08. Be able to apply and manage innovative approaches in the field of finance, banking and insurance. PLO 12. To substantiate the choice of options for management decisions in the field of finance, banking and insurance and to evaluate their effectiveness taking into account the goals, existing restrictions, legislative and ethical aspects. PLO 15. To present the results of one's own research, in particular, by preparing scientific publications and speaking at scientific events. PLO 20. Use the information systems of state financial bodies and corporate information systems, electronic systems for transferring banking information, interbank and other payment systems. PLO 23. Develop bank strategies on financial markets, design banking products and services, and manage banking risks taking into account the requirements of the European banker's certificate. KN 2. Critical understanding of basic theories, principles, methods, and concepts in education and professional activity. AB 1. Solving complex, unpredictable tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional activity and/or training, involves the collection and interpretation of information (data), the selection of methods and tools, and the use of innovative approaches. Summary of the subject: The course is aimed at forming a system of knowledge about the peculiarities of state regulation of banking activities, international and domestic legal acts in this area, models and tools for regulating the banking sector, and the role of banking regulation in ensuring financial stability.

Assessment methods and criteria: Methods of controlling students' knowledge include: 1. Current control: • Test control; • Oral survey at seminar classes; • Discussion of practical cases on banking regulation and development of recommendations for their solution; • Execution of individual tasks (optional) and their protection; 2. Final control: Examination (written and oral component) Written component: • Tasks of the 1st level - tests (yes/no); • Tasks of the 2nd level - tests (choose the correct answer); • The task of the 3rd level is to reveal the meaning of the concept and give a definition.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control - 40% (40 points) Examination control - 60% (60 points)
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: Students must demonstrate active educational activity during the semester and score from 21 to 40 points, based on the results of the current control. Mandatory types of current control include: 1. Testing at the VLE on topics of the course is evaluated at a maximum of 20 points: Test for topics 1-2 – 6 points; Test for topics 3-5 – 6 points; Test for topics 6-8 – 8 points. 2. Work in seminar classes, participation in the discussion, and reports are estimated at a maximum of 8 points. 3. Individual tasks. Individual task 1 is performed by preparing a 3-4 page abstract of a report on one of the recommended topics. The student may propose his own topic for an individual assignment if it is related to the topic of the master's qualification thesis or the place of practice. Individual task 1 is assessed at 8 points, of which 6 points are for the content and design of the task and a maximum of 2 points for defense. Individual task 2 is performed by preparing an essay on the topic "Problems of regulation of bank activity in the conditions of martial law." Individual task 2 is assessed at a maximum of 4 points, of which 3 points are for the content and design of the task and a maximum of 1 point is for the defense. Students who have not completed all 3 types of work on time (before the beginning of the examination session) or have not scored 21 points, will not be admitted to the examination. On the exam, students can get a maximum of 60 points. The exam consists of a written and an oral component. The written component consists of tasks of three levels, which are evaluated on a separate scale: The first level – 5 tests of 2 points each; The second level – 10 tests of 3 points each; The third level - 2 questions of a problematic nature, the answer to which the applicant provides during the oral component. Taking into account the answers to the examiner's additional questions, the maximum score is 20 points.
