Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following program learning outcomes:
LO 01. Have specialized conceptual knowledge that includes modern scientific achievements in the field of architecture and urban planning and is the basis for original thinking and research.
LO 02. Possess specialized problem-solving skills necessary for conducting research and/or conducting innovative activities in the field of architecture and urban planning in order to develop new knowledge and procedures.
LO 03. Carry out pre-project analysis of architectural and urban objects and territories.
LO 04. Understand and apply in practice the theoretical and practical principles of designing innovative urban planning objects, residential, public, industrial buildings and structures, reconstruction and restoration of architectural objects, methods of achieving rational architectural and planning, volumetric-spatial, constructive solutions, ensuring socio-economic efficiency, environmental friendliness, energy efficiency.
LO 06. Ensure the harmonization of architectural objects and the built environment, in particular with the application of the principles and methods of the theory of architectural environment design.
LO 10. To discuss the results of professional activities, research and innovative projects in the field of architecture and urban planning in the state and foreign languages orally and in writing.
LO 11. To make effective decisions in the field of architecture and urban planning, develop and compare alternatives, take into account limitations, assess possible side effects and risks.

Summary of the subject: Characteristic features of the structure and content of the educational discipline "Harmonization of the urban environment by means of design (comprehensive study)" are the focus on the formation of the future architect at the same time knowledge of the basics of the theory of orientation and management of the modern city. The study of this academic discipline will allow future masters of architecture to engage in innovative activities in the field of urban settlement and management in the urban environment based on the acquired competencies.
The task of the educational discipline is to form future masters of architecture in a professional approach to the analysis and solution of the problems of formation, functioning and development of the urban environment.

Introductory lecture. Elucidation of the main concepts in the field of harmonization of the urban environment.
Acquaintance with the content, task and characteristic features of the academic discipline. The purpose and main tasks of the educational discipline "Harmonization of the urban environment by means of design (comprehensive research)". The importance of harmonizing the urban environment in architecture and its practical application.
Lecture 1. Orientation as one of the aspects of life in a big city.
Problems of complex organization of orientation in the urban environment, modern approaches to its solution. Highlighting the main components of orientation in the environment of a modern city.
Lecture 2. Problems of using visual orientation for orientation in the urban environment. Provision of orientation processes in the urban environment and examples of the use of orientation visual communications. Supergraphics in solving orientation issues in the urban environment.
Lecture 3. Orientation qualities of the urban environment.
Determination of the main types of orientation models in the urban environment. The genesis of orientation activity in the city and orientation qualities of the historically formed urban environment.
Lecture 4. Means and measures of design in ensuring the principles and processes of orientation in the urban environment. Increasing the orientation potential of the urban environment by means of design. Elucidation of the principles of building visual orientation systems in the urban environment.
Chapter 2. Formation and development of the typology of settlement and management.
Lecture 5. Genesis and development of the typology of settlement and management. Elucidation of the historical typology of urban development and its main models. The development of the evolution of settlement at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 21st century.
Lecture 6. Architectural and urban principles of development of settlement and management systems. The patterns of resettlement are presented and the architectural and planning principles of urban planning for the sustainable development of resettlement and management are defined.
Final lecture. Summary of the material studied in the academic discipline "Harmonization of the urban environment by means of design (comprehensive study)". General conclusions of the lecture course, control questions on lecture topics.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control: conducting a selective oral survey in practical classes, assessing activity in classes, checking practical assignments - evaluating the student's essay and presentation work, participation in discussions. The grade is the sum of the points gained by the student for the current work during the semester.
Final control: test control, differentiated credit.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Completeness and clarity of the chosen topic; systematic approach to the problem, quality of decisions made in the project; coordination of the location of the projected object with the chosen subject; justification of the chosen solution; compliance of the proposed imaginative solution of the projected object with the chosen subject.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00 - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the component's educational material, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate in solving practical problems, ignorance of the basic fundamental provisions.
