Learning outcomes: • know foundation theory of contactless electromechanical converter that are in conjunction with electronic converters; physical processes in electromechanical and electronic converters; function, principle and design of electromehanotronics converters single types; • be able to calculate, design and explore performance of electromehanotronics converters; design their own system and its elements with all aspects of the problem; • have an understanding of current situation and trends, the most important developments and new technologies in electromehanotronics.

Summary of the subject: Electromechanical converters (EMC) in electromehanotronics. Electromehanotronics electronic devices. The EMC constraction of brushless motors (BM). Rotor position sensors: basic requirements, type and classification. Electromehanotronics converters: classification. BM DC with permanent magnets excitation. Switched reluctance motor (SRM). Designing methods of SRM with buffers of energy (BE). SRM’ mathematical model for static characteristics. Computer-aded designing of SRM with BE. Mathematical modeling of electromechanical processes in SRM with BE. Mathematical models of SRM with series BE in each section, with series BE, with parallel BE. Mathematical modeling of special modes in SRM with BE. Computer-aded research system of SRM with BE. Characteristics and features of the SRM with BE. Dynamic modes investigations. Stepper motors: classification, winding and excitation modes, characteristics, schemes and systems control. Resonance and unstable of stepper motors.
