Learning outcomes: ZN 1. - ability to demonstrate knowledge of the current state, development trends, the most important developments and the latest technologies in the field of energy security at the national and global levels, to critically evaluate them; ZN 2. - ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of highly specialized (political, managerial, economic, legal, environmental, technical, communication, etc.) aspects of energy security; ZN 3. - ability to demonstrate understanding of the impact of policy decisions in the field of energy security in economic, social and environmental contexts; UM 1. - apply their knowledge and understanding to critically evaluate modern concepts, theoretical approaches and ideas during professional activities in the field of energy security and energy policy; UM 5. - to search, analyze and critically evaluate information from various sources; UM 6. - work effectively both individually and as a team; UM 9. - critically analyze the main indicators of the functioning of energy systems of different levels from the standpoint of energy security; UM 10. - the ability to think systematically and creatively interpret facts and events at the global, regional and local levels, integrating knowledge from other disciplines and taking into account non-technical aspects when solving problems of the chosen specialization and research; AiV 1. - ability to adapt to new conditions and make decisions independently; AiV 2. - the ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge; AiV 3. - the ability to act responsibly to the work performed and achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics; AiV 4. - ability to demonstrate understanding of the principles of labor protection, electrical safety and their application.

Nuclear energy: international legal regulation and major risks. International organizations in energy sector and their activities in ensuring of international security. The EU energy security. European Energy Charter. Ukraine energy security: strategy and mechanisms of support.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (100%): oral examination, speeches at seminars, writing test.
