Learning outcomes: Knowledge of the main categories of pedagogical research, principles, methods and stages of pedagogical research. Possession of skills to define and formulate the main categories pedagogical research, to establish the relationship between basic pedagogical categories and use comprehensive methods of pedagogical research. Ability to solve complex specialized and practical problems problems during professional activities in the field of vocational education that related to the application of the theory and methods of vocational training and education, selection of teaching aids and education taking into account the requirements modern education and the labor market and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge. Ability to search, process and analyze information from different sources Ability to generate new ideas (creativity). Ability to identify, pose and solve problems. Ability to work independently (thesis), or in a group (laboratory work, including leadership skills in them performance), the ability to get the result within a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity and disability plagiarism.

Summary of the subject: Tasks of pedagogical science at the present stage. The connection of pedagogy with other sciences. The essence of scientific knowledge, knowledge and research. Concepts, goals and functions of science. Humanization of ways and means of science development and techniques. Organization of scientific activity. The system of training scientific personnel in Ukraine. Prognostic activity as a basis of research work. Forms scientific activity. Research methodology. Principles research activities. Praxeology. Types of research. Stages scientific research and their characteristics. Choice of scientific direction research. Search activity planning. Features of the organization and conducting scientific and pedagogical research in the era of network technologies. Methods of research activities. Experiment as a scientific method research. Methods of pedagogical research. Pedagogical experiment. Methods of mathematical statistics in pedagogical research. Information support of scientific research. Methods of working with scientific literature. Registration of scientific work and transfer of information. Ethics pedagogical research.
Assessment methods and criteria: verbal (explanation; story; conversation; instruction; work with a book or other information source); visual (illustration; demonstration; show); practical (training; experiment; experiment; exercise). oral examination (individual and frontal) written control of knowledge and skills is carried out with the help of written works (written answers to questions, abstracts, problem solving and exercises); presentations; practical verification of completed tasks; thematic control, etc. Current control-40 points, exam-60 points (50 written component, 10-oral)
