Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: - Microprocessor Programmable Devices for Automation - Microprocessor Instruments - Theory of Information - Theory of Automatic Control - Technical Means of Automation Co-requisites: - Practice on the Subject of the Bachelor's Qualification Work - Completion of Bachelor's Qualification Work
Summary of the subject: The goal of the discipline is the study of the principles and methods of developing multi-level automated process control systems (MPCS), their purpose, structure and functions. They study algorithms and tasks of primary processing of information in MPCS. Filtering of signals of technological parameters from interference. Application of discrete transformation theory to describe digital filters. Algorithms of reliability control on the basis of redundancy of information and measurement channels and on the basis of equations of communication of technological parameters. Reserved MPCS based on modern software and hardware. Implementation of regulators in digital form. Implementation of pulse controllers based on nonlinear elements. Technical implementation of modern MPCS. Implementation of control systems based on the Simatic MPCS hardware and software complex. Development of structural and functional schemes of MPCS. Implementation of multi-level control systems using data collection and process control software packages (SCADA packages). Studying the structure and functionality of the Intouch package (Wonderware). Basics of developing an automated operator workplace in Intouch (Wonderware).
Assessment methods and criteria: During studying of the discipline, the following methods of knowledge diagnosis are used: - oral survey of students during lectures and in laboratory classes; - protection of laboratory work reports; - oral and written component of the exam.
