Learning outcomes: INC. Ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of social communications and information activities, which involves the application of the provisions and methods of social communications and information activities, and are characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. GC 1. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. GC 2. Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations. GC 4. Ability to communicate in the state language both orally and in writing. GC 6. Skills in the use of information and communication technologies. GC 7. Ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources. PC 1. Ability to select, analyze, evaluate, systematize, monitor, organize, storage, disseminate and make available information and knowledge in any format. PC 5. Ability to create clear, concise and accurate management documentation in according to applicable standards. PC 8. Ability to design and create information resources, products and services. KN 5. Summarize, analyze and synthesize information in activities related to its search, accumulation, storage and use. KN 7. Ensure the efficiency of document and communication systems. KN 8. Use knowledge of technical characteristics, design features, purpose and rules of computer equipment operation and office equipment to solve technical problems of the specialty. KN 9. Evaluate the possibility of using new information and computer and communication technologies to improve production practices information products and services. KN 10. Qualified use of standard computer and office equipment. KN 14. Communicate freely on professional matters, including oral, written and electronic communication in Ukrainian and one of the foreign languages. SK 2. Apply knowledge and understanding to solve problems of synthesis and analysis in systems that are characteristic of the chosen specialization. SK 5. Calculate, operate, set up typical for the chosen specialization computer and office equipment. SK 6. Search for information in various sources to solve specialty problems. COM 1. Ability to communicate, including oral, written and electronic communication in Ukrainian and one of the foreign languages (English, German, Italian, French, Spanish). A&R.3. Ability to treat the work responsibly and achieve the goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics.

Summary of the subject: The course "Applied Informatics" is aimed at developing students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in organizing the electronic workspace of an office worker using the free and cross-platform office suite LibreOffice. The knowledge and skills acquired during the training will help specialists working in the information society and in the field of computer technology to successfully realize themselves in their professional activities - using technologies for processing text documents in the LibreOfficeWriter environment. Ability to optimize work with documents using templates to use technologies for processing tabular information in the LibreOfficeCalc environment. Working out information using a tabular database; apply vector graphic images in the LibreOfficeDraw environment in professional activities and modify PDF documents using LibreOfficeDraw.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (40%): oral examination, laboratory work and written reports; control measure within the semester control (60%): exam (three-level testing).
