Summary of the subject: The course "Library and Archive Management" is aimed at developing students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to the implementation of management functions in library and archival activities, the problem of personnel management and work with them, making and organizing the implementation of managerial decisions, leadership style, work planning , used traditional and electronic channels and means of communication, the use of Archive 2.0 tools, automation of the work of employees in archival activities. The academic discipline is aimed at acquiring skills and understanding that the head of any link in library or archival activities must have the skill of decision-making, the ability to contact people, create a favorable socio-psychological climate, form and stimulate the intellectual potential of the team, take into account the knowledge and experience of employees taking into account their character, temperament, psychology, age and gender; encourage librarians or archivists to embrace and apply the modern information space.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (40%): oral examination, practical work and preparation of written reports; control measure within the semester control (60%): exam (three-level testing).

Summary of the subject: The course work allows to identify the student's ability to systematize the acquired theoretical knowledge, which is related to the implementation of management functions, organizations, various types, processes, technologies of library and archival management. The student independently comprehends and researches a certain problem situation of library and archival activity, carries out scientific-methodological and practical generalizations of a problem, offers own variants of its decision that allows to form in the student skills of research activity and creative approach which should be inherent in the manager.
