Learning outcomes: As the result of the discipline study, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:
to know: general features and problems of translation from Japanese; basic aids for translation from Japanese.
to be able to: apply in practice translation skills when translating texts of different styles; use Japanese paper and electronic dictionaries, as well as computer and Internet text translation tools.
Required prior and related subjects: Prerequisites: “Modern Japanese” Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, “Models of modern communication (Japanese language)” Part 1, Part 2, “Practice of Translation (Japanese language)” Part 1
Corequisites: -
Summary of the subject: Translation of texts of journalistic, scientific and artistic styles. Translation of scientific and newspaper articles and news. Translation of tales.
Assessment methods and criteria: Monitoring: listening, monologue and dialogic speaking, reading, writing. Final test.
