Learning outcomes: • To demonstrate ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practical activity; • To demonstrate ability to use in practice the methods of processing information flows in the preparation of analytical studies; • To demonstrate ability to develop analytical models of international relations for the study of international situations; • To demonstrate ability to analyze the causes of crises and determine measures to overcome them; • To demonstrate knowledge of the methodology of information and analytical activity; • To demonstrate knowledge of the main stages of information and analytical work; • To demonstrate knowledge of specific methods and methods of processing information flows and preparation of analytical materials; • To demonstrate knowledge of the foundations of the organization and functioning of information and analytical structures; • To demonstrate knowledge of the information and analytical services of the parliaments of European countries and the EU; • To demonstrate Knowledge of the role of leading European research organizations in analyzing and shaping foreign policy; • To demonstrate knowledge of the features of intelligence services in ensuring foreign policy of European states.

Summary of the subject: Information and analytical support of activity of foreign policy departments. The role of intelligence services in ensuring European states foreign policy. Foreign-political communication technologies of the leading European countries. Features of information and analytical parliaments services of leading European countries. Information and analytical support for the activities of diplomatic and consular offices in the host country. The main forms and trends of the development of modern information and analytical centers in European countries. Information and analytical means of state administration. The role of European research organizations in analyzing and shaping foreign policy. Organization of activity of information and analytical services in Ukraine. Information and analytical support for cross-border cooperation between the member states of the European Union and Ukraine.
Assessment methods and criteria: • formative assessment: oral questioning, written questioning, individual home assignments preparation (40%); • summative assessment: credit in written and oral form (60%).
