Major: Civil Security
Code of subject: 6.263.00.O.014
Credits: 6.00
Department: Physical, Analytical and General Chemistry
Lecturer: Ph.D., Associate Professor, Hrynchuk Yurii Mykolaiovych
Semester: 2 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the discipline, the student must be able to demonstrate the following learning outcomes: AP 9 Know the properties of combustible substances and materials, the mechanism of combustion and explosion UM 6 Classify substances, materials, products, processes, services and economic entities according to the degree of their danger. UM 9 Choose the best methods and apply means of protection against the effects of negative factors of chemical, biological and radiation origin The study of the discipline involves the formation of students' competencies: professional competencies: FC-4 Ability to operate in physical and chemical terms, to understand the essence of mathematical, physical and chemical concepts and laws that are necessary for professional activity. FC-9 Ability to understand the mechanism of combustion and explosion processes, circumstances, actions and processes that cause an emergency
Required prior and related subjects: Previous academic disciplines 1. Informatics 2. Higher mathematics Related and subsequent disciplines 1. Basics of fire safety and fire extinguishing 2. Radiation, chemical and biological protection 3. Identification of disposal and utilization of hazardous substances
Summary of the subject: The study of the discipline "Chemistry" should be the basis for the study of basic disciplines in accordance with the curriculum of students, as well as for the formation of dialectical thinking and promote the development of the chemical worldview of the student. Knowledge of chemistry gives students a modern scientific idea of ??matter and the form of its motion, of matter as a form of motion of matter, of the mechanism of transformation of chemical compounds. For technical students, knowledge of chemistry is the foundation for mastering all other disciplines related to the study of the nature of substances and their use in science and technology. Deep study and understanding of the laws of chemistry and their application in industry allows you to improve and create new technologies, equipment, achieve higher productivity and efficiency. Of course, the role of chemistry will increase even more in the future. Already today we have almost complete "chemicalization" of all sectors of the economy.
Assessment methods and criteria: Written reports on laboratory work, testing, practical work (40%), final control (control measure, exam): written and oral form 60%
