Learning outcomes: (PH04). Apply the acquired knowledge of the legal basis of civil protection, labor protection in practice. (PH07). Choose the best measures and tools aimed at reducing occupational risk, protecting the population, preventing emergencies. (PH14). Identify hazards and their possible sources, assess the likelihood of dangerous events and their consequences. (ЗУ4). Ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic environmental principles, occupational safety and health and their application.

Summary of the subject: Legislative and regulatory framework of Ukraine on occupational safety. General safety requirements for production. Industrial sanitation. Basic principles of food quality management. Theoretical and methodological principles of food security. State regulation in the field of safety and quality management of food raw materials and food products. HACCP risk analysis systems and critical control points. Classification of harmful substances, types of hazards and ways of contamination of raw materials and food products. Adverse factors in the food industry. Safety of production processes. Electrical safety. Fire safety of technological equipment. Labor protection requirements for premises and systems of heat supply, ventilation and water supply. Methods of prevention of injuries and occupational diseases.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control : written reports on practice works, testing (50%); Final control (50 %): exam - written form (45%) , orally (5%)
