Learning outcomes: • be able to predict the physical and mechanical properties of different classes of materials, analyze the possibility of physical methods of research of chemical composition, structure and properties of materials for solution of research or expert task • skilled practical application of obtained experimental results information; • to understand the scientific basis of the development of materials with higher against the existing properties.
Required prior and related subjects: • prerequisites: electricity and magnetism, optics, quantum mechanics, atomic and nuclear physics, solid state physics • corequisites physics and nanotechnology, nanomaterials science, impedance spectroscopy, com-puter modeling of physical processes, research workshop, implementation bachelor and master's theses.
Summary of the subject: Thermal conductivity. Thermoelectricity. Resistometriya. Magnetometry. Quantitative metallogra-phy. Electron microscopy. Diffraction. Spectroscopic methods.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports of laboratory work and individual work, oral interviews, control test (30 %); • final control (70% control measure, exam): written-oral forms (55 + 15 %).
