Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the discipline is to equip students with practical skills in conducting research work, in the process of which they would be able to correctly formulate problems, develop and justify ways and methods of their effective solution. Mastering the subject of the discipline will contribute to the proper organization, successful writing and defense of the master's qualification work in the educational program "Management of Social Institutions", specialty 232 "Social Welfare".
Завдання: General competencies: Ability to think abstractly, analyze and synthesize Ability to conduct research at the appropriate level Ability to generate new ideas (creativity) Ability to work in a team Professional competencies: Ability to use modern theories, methodologies and methods of social and other sciences in relation to the tasks of basic and applied research in the field of social welfare. Ability to plan and conduct social research to identify and analyze socially significant problems and factors of achieving social well-being of different groups of the population.
Learning outcomes: Use modern theories, methodology and methods of social and other sciences in relation to the tasks of basic and applied research in the field of social protection. Critically evaluate the results of scientific research and various sources of knowledge on social welfare, formulate conclusions and recommendations for its implementation. Apply foreign sources in the performance of research and applied activities, express themselves in a foreign language, both orally and in writing. Design a theoretical model of work with social welfare objects within social services, organizations, institutions. Apply general and specialized software to solve professional problems and conduct research. Plan and conduct research in the social welfare system and present its results. Identify the needs of different segments of the population and develop appropriate social protection programs to address them. Analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of socio-economic support for the population and make appropriate adjustments within the area of activity.

Summary of the subject: The discipline "Methodology and Methods of Scientific Research" will be taught using various methods, including lectures, discussions, and interactive activities. Since students will be required to conduct scientific research, a large part of this course will be carried out in the form of group classroom and extracurricular work. The instructor will provide students with individual consultations. Consultations between students and supervision (professional support) by the instructor will also be used to ensure that valuable suggestions, as well as the feelings of other students, are involved in the process of scientific research.

Assessment methods and criteria: Evaluation of students in the discipline "Methodology and methods of scientific research" is carried out by means of objective control of the degree of achievement of learning outcomes. Assessment is based on an assessment of the level of achieved programmatic learning outcomes of the master's degree program "Management of Social Services Institutions", using methods of comprehensive diagnostics: semester control (SC) of knowledge of students is carried out by the total number of points obtained by the results of current control (CC), and the implementation of the control measure (CM). The information base on which the means of objective control of the degree of achievement of learning outcomes are formed is its subject matter, tasks for practical and individual work, a list of literature and methodological recommendations. The assessment of the level of achievement of learning outcomes is carried out after the students have completed the work program in full.

Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 00-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00
