Мета вивчення дисципліни: consists in the systematization and in-depth theoretical knowledge necessary for high-quality and effective implementation of professional activities in the disciplines of specialization in the context of master's thesis research.
Завдання: General competences: ZK1. Ability to abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis. ZK3. The ability to evaluate and ensure the quality of the work performed. ZK9. Ability to show initiative and entrepreneurship. Professional competences: SK1. Ability to use modern theories, methodologies and methods of social and other sciences in relation to the tasks of fundamental and applied research in the field of social security. SK2. The ability to plan and carry out social research in order to identify and analyze socially significant problems and factors for achieving social well-being of various population groups. SK5. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and own conclusions to specialists and non-specialists SK8. The ability to optimize the processes of making managerial decisions in solving issues of social and economic assistance to little protected categories of the population. SK10. The ability to express a professional identity and act according to the values ??of a social worker.
Learning outcomes: 1. To use modern theories, methodology and methods of social and other sciences in relation to the tasks of basic and applied research in the field of social protection. 2. Critically evaluate the results of scientific research and various sources of knowledge on social security, formulate conclusions and recommendations for its implementation. 3. To use foreign sources in the performance of tasks of research and applied activities, to speak in a foreign language, both orally and in writing. 4. To design a theoretical model of work with social security facilities in the framework of social services, organizations, institutions. 5. Use general and specialized software to solve professional problems and carry out research. 6. Plan and conduct research in the system of social protection and highlight their results. 7. Develop and test social projects and technologies.

Summary of the subject: To systematize and deepen the theoretical knowledge necessary for the quality and effective implementation of professional activities in the disciplines of specialization in the context of master's research. Consolidate existing skills and abilities to communicate with practitioners in the field of social security. To practice skills of use of normative-legal acts of different levels in practical work for comprehensive protection of the rights of clients. To check theoretical conclusions of master's work. To test methods, technologies, models, projects developed in research of master's work. To prepare practical part of master's work.
Опис: The internship on the topic of the master's qualification work of higher education students in the program "Management of Social Services Institutions" of the specialty "Social Security" is part of the professional training program for social specialists at Lviv Polytechnic National University. This program focuses on the formation of a holistic healthy personality of a general practitioner of social security, ready for management activities at all managerial levels in social institutions, for creative solutions to various social problems and meeting the needs of clients on a legal basis, capable of self-development, self-realization, self-realization. The tasks are: - Formation of information support for the master's qualification work in accordance with the chosen object of research; - Preparation and processing of analytical materials for the master's qualification work, including the activities of competitors, the state and prospects of the social services market; - Critical analysis of the main types of regulatory, information, reporting and statistical materials and documents related to the process of managing the activities of a social service institution and familiarization with the practice of their application; - Acquiring skills to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and draw constructive conclusions based on the performance indicators of a social service institution - the basis of practice; - critical reflection on the specifics of the functioning of the studied social care institution - the basis of practice, as well as adaptation of theoretical provisions, methodological tools set out in the special literature to the conditions of a particular social care institution; - development and substantiation of recommendations for improving the activities of the social sector institution; - evaluation of the effectiveness of management measures proposed to improve the activities of the social sector institution - the base of practice; - presentation of research materials in a practice report on the topic of master's qualification work.
Assessment methods and criteria: Differentiated test, practice report, practice diary, reviews of practice leaders from the university and social protection institutions.
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: The form of control of the results of the defense of the practice report is a differentiated assessment (100 points). The grade for practice is entered in the form "Tasks and results of practice", the score sheet and the score book of the student of higher education and is certified by the signatures of the members of the commission. A student of higher education who did not complete the practice program without valid reasons or received an "unsatisfactory" grade based on the results of the practice report defense, will be expelled from the university for failure to complete the curriculum.
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100-88 points - ("excellent") is assigned for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component contained in the main and additional recommended literature sources, the ability to analyze the phenomena studied in their interconnection and development, clearly, concisely, logically, consistently answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 87-71 points - ("good") is assigned for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 70 - 50 points - ("satisfactory") is assigned for poor knowledge of the educational material of the component, inaccurate or poorly reasoned answers, with a violation of the sequence of presentation, for poor application of theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 49-26 points - ("not certified" with the possibility of retaking the semester control) is assigned for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions in solving practical problems; 25-00
