Gained competence: • basic knowledge to take environment-protection engineering measures; • knowledge of cutting-edge equipment to reduce emissions of environmental pollution; • basic knowledge of structure, working principle and installation of equipment for environmental protection; • knowledge of Earth Sciences (meteorology and climatology, hydrology, soil sciences, geology with geomorphology principles) for the study of phenomena and processes occurring in the environment; • knowledge of methodological, legal and methodical principles of ecological assessment.
• the ability to use profiled professional knowledge and practical skills of basic subjects in the environmental protection processes; • the ability to apply knowledge and understanding for solving qualitative and quantitative objectives for the elimination of technogenic pollution; • the ability to use knowledge about the causes of environmental hazards for substantiation of managerial decisions; • the competency to use the system of ecological standardization and certification; • the ability for evaluation, interpretation and synthesis of information and data; • skills of design and operation of treatment facilities; • skills to use specialized software for negative impact assessment of the production on the environment; • knowledge and practical skills in the field of environmental law and application of environmental regulations; • the ability to assess the level of production environmental risks on the environment.
