Credits: 5.00
Department: Ecology and Sustainable Environmental Management
Lecturer: Doctor of science, Prof., Sabadash Vira
Semester: 6 семестр
Mode of study: денна
Learning outcomes: Program competencies: • understanding of the basic principles of thermodynamics and its laws, thermodynamic bases of the compression process, methods of cooling the working fluid and methods of direct energy conversion. • acquisition of skills in the calculation and design of equipment as a basis for the development of environmentally friendly technologies. Program results: • know the patterns of interconnection and interdependence of technological and energy processes in order to save fuel and energy resources and create virtually waste-free production of materials and energy and the main problems associated with the operation of existing power plants. Learning outcomes: • possess the technological principles of energy combination.
Required prior and related subjects: • Physics; • Higher mathematics; • Environmental engineering.
Summary of the subject: Thermodynamic fundamentals of compression process. Methods of cooling of the working fluid. The concept of exergy; heat pump; chillers; Steam-power installation. Methods of direct conversion of energy. Energetic and technological combination.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control, oral examination (30%) • final control (control measure, exam), written-oral form (70%)
