Learning outcomes: Program competencies: • ability to critically comprehend the basic theories, methods and principles of natural sciences; • ability to search and understand new methods of ecologically safe agricultural production and reproduction of productivity of modern agroecosystems; • the ability to conduct research at the appropriate level and ensure the quality of work performed. Program results: • be able to use the principles of organization and management of agroecosystems in order to increase their productivity and reduce the negative impact on the environment. Learning outcomes: • identifying key factors that influence the formation of agro-ecosystems; • studying levels of agro-ecosystems, their spatial, species and trophic structure; • studying the dynamics of development and sustainability of agro-ecosystems.
Required prior and related subjects: • Meteorology and Climatology, • Landscape and Soil science, • Fundamentals of Industrial Ecology, • Monitoring the environment.
Summary of the subject: The purpose of presenting discipline is: - a gradual and consistent application of technology, management and other solutions that increase the efficiency of natural resources and environment, along with improving or at least maintaining the quality of the environment. - This is one of the main requirements of modernity in the global environmental crisis. - In socio-economic terms greening should be based on the transition to environmentally methods of management, and maintenance - for ecologization of production technologies and environmental management.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control, oral examination (30%); • final control (control measure, exam): written, oral form (70%)
