Learning outcomes: Program competencies: • study of the basic theoretical principles of single hydrodynamic, thermal, mass transfer and biological processes, which form the basis of the technology of purification of anthropogenic liquid and gas streams, processing and utilization of solid waste. • acquisition of skills in the calculation and design of equipment as a basis for the development of environmentally friendly technologies. • the ability to conduct research at the appropriate level and ensure the quality of work performed. Program results: • knowledge of the basics of hydraulics and equipment, separation of gas and liquid inhomogeneous systems, mixing methods, thermal processes, methods of calculating devices. Learning outcomes: • Know the basic laws of hydrodynamic, thermal, diffusion-controlled processes, theoretical foundations of thermal, mass transfer, chemical and biological processes; • The ability to determine material balance system equilibrium and kinetic patterns; to calculate treatment processes and equipment of them; • Ability to apply methods to intensify the diffusion and chemical processes to develop the design of machines and technological schemes. • Know the basic laws of diffusion-controlled processes, theoretical foundations of thermal, mass transfer, chemical and biological processes.

Summary of the subject: Mass transfer processes. Absorption.Chemisorption. Desorption, degassing. Distillation. Rectification. Extraction in the system "liquid-liquid". Mass transfer in systems with a solid phase. Adsorption, ion exchange. Dissolution, extraction, crystallization. Drying. Modern methods of purification. Membrane separation techniques of homogeneous systems. Chemical processes. Biological methods of cleaning. Process modeling. Sorting of materials.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control, oral examination (30%) • final control (control measure, exam), written-oral form (70%)
