Summary of the subject: Application of elements of mathematical statistics in psychological research. Types of statistical methods. Statistical indicators of the sample. Statistical indicators of the sample: empirical distributions of variables. Methods of checking the normality of data distribution. Analysis of primary statistics. Measures of central tendency and variability. Communication measures: correlation analysis (linear, rank). Assess the reliability of feature differences for independent samples. Multidimensional statistical analysis: factor and cluster analysis in psychological research. Estimation of change of value of the investigated sign at repeated measurements. Application of Excel MS MS and Statistica, SPSS applications for statistical procedures of psychological research.
Assessment methods and criteria: - Current control (40%): written reports on practical work, oral examination. - Final control (60%, exam): Maximum score - 100 points.
