Learning outcomes: РН 04. analyze and evaluate international and national security problems, international and internationalized conflicts, approaches, methods and mechanisms for ensuring security in the international space and in the foreign policy of states; РН 06. identify, assess and forecast political, diplomatic, security, public and other risks in the field of international relations and global development. РН 16. to know and understand highly specialized (political, legal, security, social, communication, etc.) aspects of the development of the modern system of international relations and Ukraine's place in it. РНС 2.1. apply their knowledge and understanding for a critical assessment of the modern security dimension of international relations, regional security systems and Ukraine's security priorities in the international arena. Ком. 2 the ability to defend a patriotic statesman's position regarding the place of Ukraine in the system of international relations in communications; Ком. 3. the ability to present and discuss the obtained results and transfer the acquired knowledge. Summary of the subject: The essence and features of the regional security system. Regulatory framework for the regional security system. Internal and interstate conflicts in the regional security system. Modern threats to regional security. Regional separatism. Ethnopolitical regional security. Regional collective security systems. Border conflicts in the regional security system. Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU on regional security issues. Mechanisms for ensuring regional security. Regional security threats management. Ukraine as a component of the regional security system. Challenges and threats to Ukraine's regional security.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (40%) - oral examination, reports, discussions, writing essays, case-study research, preparation of presentations on a given topic. Final control (60% )- examination - three-level testing.
