Learning outcomes: knowledge of features and categories makeup the current Internet of Things (IoT) Software; to know base IoT protocols and programming languages, which are used for software development; to know application fields of IoT; to get knowledge of used platforms for IoT (Embedded OS, Middleware, Data Cloud Platforms); principles and methods of IoT software development.

Summary of the subject: Since automated systems of information gathering and processing are widely used in different areas of human activity, there is an increasing need specialists in the field of computer science, cybernetics, automation of management, etc. New theoretical and practical challenges, related to gathering large amount of information from geographically distributed multiple sensors (both static and mobile), processing this information and reacting on that. Lecturer course “Software Technology of the Internet of Things” is dedicated to the gathering and transfering information from static and mobile sensors to centralized systems for analysis and control.
Assessment methods and criteria: Written reports on labs, oral examination, independent work (30%); final control (control measure, examination), written-oral form (70%).
