Learning outcomes: 1. Know the architecture of cloud platforms; 2. Understand the information security problems that may arise during the virtualization of hardware and software computer facilities; 3. Understand the threats to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information stored or processed in the cloud, and know the strategies to counter these threats; 4. Understand the threats to the accountability and privacy of information stored or processed in the cloud, and know the strategies to counter these threats; 5. Be able to identify threats of unauthorized entry or access to cloud systems; 6. Be able to take active and protective measures to contain and counter potential threats to information and intrusion into the work of cloud systems; 7. To be able to develop complex hardware and software solutions that will provide secure processing and storage of data in cloud platforms.

Summary of the subject: Ensuring information security when remotely processing and storing data on computer resources of the server and using software as a service over a computer network. The issues of security and confidentiality in the field of cloud computing, the approach of computing virtualization and its problems, security threats and ways to counter these threats are studied. Methods for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, accessibility of the cloud, accountability and privacy of data in cloud systems.
Assessment methods and criteria: Written reports on laboratory work, the verbal questioning; Final assessment (control method, exam): written-verbal form (70%)
