Learning outcomes: As a result of studying the module, the student must know and be able to: - to freely orient in the laws of development of social production; - formulate a business idea, represent the mechanism of its generation in the formation of the business model of the firm; - to monitor the behavior of economic agents in market conditions; - analyze the competitive environment of the enterprise; - to forecast the influence of macroeconomic indicators on entrepreneurial activity; - to determine the peculiarities of state regulation of entrepreneurship in Ukraine.

Summary of the subject: The concept of economy and business. Entrepreneurship as a subject of the economic system. Business idea and the mechanism of its generation. Formation of the business model of the firm. Business Planning in Entrepreneurship. Indicators of business efficiency. The essence of supply and demand in the context of the effectiveness of the implementation of business ideas. Analysis of consumer behavior as a pledge of financial stability of the firm. Expenses and revenues in entrepreneurial activity. Content and functions of entrepreneurial risk. Ways and methods of risk reduction in business activities. Business perspective analysis ("cost-volume-profit"). Competitive environment of the enterprise activity. Types of markets: monopoly and its species; monopolistic competition, oligopoly. Process of organization of management and its components. General characteristics of culture and ethics of business activities. Macroeconomic indicators and their impact on entrepreneurial activity. Prerequisites and mechanisms of state regulation of entrepreneurship.
Assessment methods and criteria: • Current control of practical classes (50%); • Final control (50%, exam)

Learning outcomes: Be unknown in the theoretical and practical problems of improving the competitiveness of various objects; Predict the market situation to ensure the adequate competitiveness of the enterprise; - Formulate competitive strategy of the organization; - Assess the level, advantages and disadvantages of the national economy’s competitiveness; - Examine the problem of competitiveness of the national economy as a factor contributing to overcome the economic crisis; - To prove the mechanism of increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine.

Porter; - Methods of evaluating the competitiveness of goods, enterprise, industry, country; - Assessment of the competitiveness of Ukraine; - ways of improvement of the competitiveness of Ukraine as the basis for the overcoming of economical crisis
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control (oral examination, individual work, work in small groups) (50%); • Final control (50% test): written-oral form (50%)
