Summary of the subject: Evaluation of transportation networks of the point of interaction. Stages of the transportation process. Types of connections. Terminal transportation system. Classification of terminals. Transport and technological systems, their classification, advantages and opportunities. Transport nodes, their classification, and requirements to them. Interaction of rail and road transport. Organization of work of passenger transport, calculation of transplant nodes and bandwidth. Technological interaction of railway and motor transport.
Assessment methods and criteria: • writing reports of practical work, oral examination (30%) • final control (70% control measure, exam), written-oral form

Learning outcomes: • to know the educational planning peculiarities of railway stations; • be able to calculate the premises parameters in the railway and bus stations; • be able to calculate passenger platforms in railway and bus stations; • have an idea of applying methods in traffic management on the railway station areas.
Required prior and related subjects: • Fundamentals of transport; • Urban transport planning; • Traffic engineering.
Summary of the subject: The theme of the course project - "Designing a combined railway and bus station". Designing the railway station: determining the number of tracks and platforms, calculating the parameters of the railway platforms, calculating the area of the railway station. Designing a bus station: determining the number of passenger platforms, calculating the building of the bus station. Road section: design of the railway station area, work volumes determination.
Assessment methods and criteria: defence of course project ( 100%)
