Learning outcomes: - know the basic principles of the statement of a problem, methods of solving and processing of complex information systems; - know the methodology of formation of information systems and use modern information technologies; - be able to analyze information flows; - be able to evaluate the results of the management of the transport company; - be able to automate some aspects of the management of the transport company and conduct an informal study.

Summary of the subject: Information systems with databases. Database models. Relational databases. Normal forms of relations. The integrity of relational data and databases. Information Technology. Mathematical support of ISС. Information and navigation systems for rolling stock control. Storage and processing of information in the simplest data banks. Creating data banks using MS Office Access
Assessment methods and criteria: • Oral and written interview in practical classes - 30%; • Conducting a written exam based on the results of the discipline, which consists of theoretical and practical tasks - 60%; • Conducting an oral component based on the results of writing an exam, the questions of which are based on the content of practical tasks - 10%.
