Learning outcomes: know the basic concepts of systems theory, their structure, functioning and patterns of development; be able to investigate simple technological deterministic and stochastic systems; graph analytically method solving the problems; use basic methods of modeling of problems of transport; be aware of system management, design and construction of systems, operational characteristics of systems
Required prior and related subjects: • Fundamentals of theories of transportation processes and systems • Fundamentals of transport • Operational research in transport systems (part 1 and part 2)
Summary of the subject: General information about systems analysis; definition of systems and concepts that characterize the structure and operation of the systems, patterns of their development; structure and methods of their presentation; models and modeling of the systems researching; classification of methods of the formalized representation systems; application of systems analysis for the solving of practical problems; optimization results set criteria; basic methods of modeling of the transports problems, transport problem, stochastic model of traffic.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports from practical work, spoken survey, control work (40%); • final control (60%, exam), written-spoken form (60%).
