Learning outcomes: 1. Manage statistical information pertaining to transport system and transport processes parameters; 2. Accurately document national and international transportation operations and analyze transportation regulations; 3. Investigate road accidents, provide expert evaluation of a vehicle’s technical aspects and evaluate transport safety; 4. Ensure transportation characteristics of cargo corresponds to its labeling; manage supply stream; 5. Organize work at transportation facilities; 6. Optimize of queuing systems on transport; 7. Study and analyze passenger flow; 8, Manage passenger transportation systems; 9. Explore and design organization of flow patters; 10. Develop complex transportation schemes; 11. Anticipate the interaction between different modes of transportation; 12. Estimate the interaction between transportation systems and hubs; 13. Develop and improve automated systems for traffic control; 14. Logistical servicing;

Summary of the subject: Thesis projects are carried out by folloving directions: Traffic engineering and road safety with chapters: research and analysis of the main factors of road users; traffic engineering and road safety; calculation of cost of performed work; professional safety. Passenger transportation with chapters: analysis of territory of route passage; calculation of route parameters; cost of transportation, professional safety. Cargo transportation with chapters: analysis of elements of distribution channel; transportation routing; cost of transportation, professional safety.
Assessment methods and criteria: Level and completeness of carrying out are examined in percent by expert committee, which is appointed on department meeting from the number of academic staff, which have scientific and teaching works from the pointed directions. Expert committee makes recommendatory decision, which is confirmed by the head of department about permission of degree-seeking applicant of the first (bachelor) level of higher education to public defense.
