Learning outcomes: - Investigate transport processes, experiment, analyze and evaluate the parameters of transport systems and technologies; - Develop, plan, implement methods of organizing safe activities in the field of transport systems and technologies; - Investigate the types and types of transport systems. Find solutions for optimizing the parameters of transport systems. Assess the efficiency of infrastructure and technology of transport systems; - Evaluate the parameters of traffic flows. Design schemes and networks of transport systems. Develop technologies for operational management of traffic flows; - Classify and identify transport processes and systems. Evaluate the parameters of transport systems. Perform system analysis and forecasting of transport systems; - Ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge;
Required prior and related subjects: • Traffic engineering, part 2; • Road safety; • Fundamentals of theories of transportation processes and systems; • Research of operations in transport systems
Summary of the subject: Basic requirements for traffic organization. Laws of cybernetics and system management "Road conditions - traffic flows". Basic parameters of traffic flows. Dependencies between them under different traffic conditions. Economic efficiency of system management optimization “Road conditions - traffic flows”. Features of traffic flow in congestion. Conditions of traffic flow at the congress, intersection of streets and roads at different levels. Organization of public transport in cities. Socio-economic assessment of measures for the organization of traffic. Arrangement of pedestrian crossings and bicycle paths. Efficiency of traffic control systems. Zonal traffic restrictions. Assessment of the function of the city street and road network. Parking and parking of vehicles. Features of passing of traffic flows on a prohibitory signal of a traffic light.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written reports of practical work, oral examination, control work (40%) • summary control (60 %, measure control, test): written-oral form (60%)
