Summary of the subject: The subject and tasks of the course "Methods of Teaching Chemistry: Quality Control and Testing". Theoretical bases and requirements of standards for the quality of knowledge of students of institutions of secondary and vocational education. Competent approach to determining the results and quality of teaching chemistry in the conditions of various educational institutions. Concept of pedagogical categories "quality of knowledge", "competence", "quality of skills", "quality of skills", "the result of training". Control as a component of pedagogical control: tasks, principles, functions, types, methods of control. Test control and methodological approaches to the application, development and analysis of test quality in the process of studying chemistry. Taking into account the preliminary learning experience of the students, the personal capabilities of each member of the student team when choosing a method of control. Differentiated approach to the formation of control materials on the basis of the cognitive principle. Modern methods of organizing, conducting and analyzing the quality control of the results of chemistry teaching in institutions of secondary and vocational education. Test control: advantages, disadvantages, conditions of use. Method of compiling tests of different types with different functional tasks. Statistical and mathematical analysis of control and testing results. Criteria for assessing the quality of the results of student achievements in chemistry. Foreign experience in controlling the quality of teaching in chemistry at various stages of its study.
Assessment methods and criteria: • observation of educational and cognitive activity; • Oral questioning (frontal, individual, combined); • written control of knowledge and skills is carried out through the implementation of individual tasks - essay, presentations, pedagogical tasks, abstracts; • implementation of control (thematic) works and test tasks.
