Learning outcomes: Knowledge: • the essence of the concept of "quality of higher education" and related concepts; • standards and recommendations for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG); • formation and development of the problem of quality of higher education in world educational practice; • experience of European universities in ensuring the quality of higher education; • modern legal framework of Ukraine to ensure the quality of higher education; • licensing procedure in the quality assurance system of higher education in Ukraine; • general information about higher education standards and the structure of educational programs; • certain activities of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education; • features of accreditation of educational programs and educational activities under this program in higher education institutions of Ukraine; • certain knowledge, skills and abilities of an expert in the accreditation of educational programs. Skills: • analyze educational phenomena, processes and facts in terms of ensuring the quality of higher education; • to analyze the quality of activities of participants in the educational process; • adhere to and implement in practice the standards and recommendations for quality assurance in higher education (ESG-2015); • select and apply effective methods and forms of their own professional self-development in the quality assurance system of higher education; • apply the acquired knowledge in the process of selection to the number of experts in the accreditation of educational programs by the National Agency; • to conduct research on topical issues; • work effectively in a team and adhere to time management.

Summary of the subject: The discipline provides students with knowledge in the quality assurance system of higher education, in particular on the accreditation examination of educational programs of higher education institutions conducted by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and their application in the selection of experts for accreditation of educational programs. to professional and independent activity. Objectives of the discipline: • analysis of the relevance of the process of ensuring the quality of higher education in Ukraine at the stage of its reform; • general information on higher education standards and the structure of educational programs of Ukrainian universities; • characteristics of the basic principles and procedure for accreditation of educational programs, which are used to train applicants for higher education as a tool for external quality assurance of higher education in Ukraine; • analysis of certain areas of activity of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education; • formation of students' skills to creatively analyze and critically evaluate the phenomena and processes occurring in the system of higher education of Ukraine and to suggest ways to improve the quality of educational activities of higher education institutions; • definitive analysis of the essence of the concept of "quality of higher education" and the characteristics of its components; • substantiation of educational services subject to the licensing procedure in the field of higher education; • analysis of standards and recommendations for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015); • providing students with certain knowledge, skills and abilities of an expert on accreditation of educational programs by the National Agency; • development of necessary soft skills, in particular: management skills, communication in a team, listening and understanding of the interlocutor, negotiations and persuasions, decision-making, leadership, motivation, cross-cultural interaction in a team, conflict resolution.
Assessment methods and criteria: Lectures and practical classes: information-receptive method; reproductive method; heuristic method; method of problem statement. Independent work: reproductive method; research method. Current and credit control: selective oral examination before classes; frontal standardized survey on cards, tests for 5-10 minutes; frontal check of completed homework; assessment of student activity in the process of classes, suggestions, original solutions, clarifications and definitions, additions to previous answers, etc.
