Learning outcomes: • to know the basic positions and categories of methods of economics education, the history of economics teaching methods; • to know the peculiarities of economic knowledge as a subject of study; • to know the theory of forming the peculiarities of planning and organizing of the teaching and learning process of teaching economics; • be able to determine the goals, content, methods, principles and techniques of economics education, depending on the type of educational institution; • be able to plan and organize the educational process in the classes of the economy; • be able to define the concept of economics and economic knowledge; • be able to form modern economic and pedagogical thinking by assimilating categorical apparatus and conceptual provisions on economics, psychology and teaching methods of economics; • be able to select and use exercises and practical tasks for the formation of professional competence of students or students in the direction of the economy.
Required prior and related subjects: • General pedagogy. Basics of economy. • Methods of economics education: didactic design.
Summary of the subject: Theoretical basis of the methodology of teaching economics. Components of economic competence. Organization and providing of economics education process. Typology of exercises for studying economics. Typology of classes in economics.
