Summary of the subject: The concept of forensic examination. Classification of forensic examinations: by venue; in the sequence of; by volume of research; by the number of experts of expert research; on the content of special knowledge; by obligation. Types and types of forensic examinations. Regularities and features of the emergence of new types of expert research. Connection of forensic examination with other types of forensic examinations. Differences of forensic examination from other forensic examinations. Expert opinion. Electronic expert opinion in criminal proceedings. History of development and current state of forensic examination. Forensic handwriting expertise. Theoretical provisions of forensic examination. Trasological examination of handprints (dactyloscopy). Trasological examination of human footprints and shoes. Theoretical provisions of forensic ballistic examination. Forensic ballistic examination of small arms and parts thereof. Forensic ballistic examination of ammunition, their parts and traces of damage. Examination of cold steel. Forensic examination of explosive devices, explosives and explosive products. Theoretical provisions of forensic examination of materials, substances, products. Forensic examination of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Forensic examination of objects of road accident (paints, fuels and lubricants, fibers, metals, glass, plastics).
Assessment methods and criteria: Methods of diagnosing academic success, forms of measuring the level of knowledge acquisition in the discipline are: - oral examination in practical (seminar) classes; - presentation at practical (seminar) classes (with an abstract, report, discussion, etc.); - testing students' knowledge on the relevant topic of the lecture course; - written test (answers to theoretical questions, solving practical problems (cases), test tasks, etc.); - performance and protection of individual research task; - form of final control: differentiated credit. The final control of the level of students' knowledge is the conduct of a differentiated test, the results of which are set and equivalent to the total number of points for all types of student work during the semester. The tasks include: - test tasks of different levels of difficulty, - theoretical issue of normative or problematic nature. Current control (PC) - 40 points: practical (seminar) classes, work in VNS, control work - 24 points; scientific research tasks, abstracts, reports, draft decisions, scientific publications, participation in business or simulation games, conferences, Olympiads, etc. - 16 points. Semester (final) control (60 points) - exam: test tasks of different levels of complexity, incidental tasks (tasks), theoretical questions (normative, problem, discussion direction). Written (50 points) and oral (10 points) components.

Summary of the subject: Diploma thesis is one of the forms of independent creative work of the student. When writing diploma, students conduct more in-depth research in specific scientific areas, topics and must support their own printed materials, which are part of the discipline, within which the work is performed. Students choose the topics of Diploma thesis according to the list proposed by the department. The final stage of the work is its defense.
Assessment methods and criteria: Methods of authentic assessment are used as a permanent, communicative process between the student and the supervisor, from the moment of choosing the topic of the course work, drawing up a plan, writing sections, testing, conclusions, proposals for project defense. The process of determining the level of mastering by the student of the planned (expected) learning outcomes during the writing of the term paper is formalized. According to the "Regulations on the rating of student achievement", the quality of the course project (work) is assessed by the following criteria: compliance of the content of the course project (work) with the task and requirements of educational and methodical recommendations on its implementation; independence of the decision of the set task, the design decision, performance of calculations, schedules and tables; the presence of elements of research; use of computer technologies; registration of the explanatory note, graphic materials. Diploma thesis is evaluated on a 100-point scale: "unsatisfactory" (0-49 points), satisfactory (50-70 points), good (71-87 points), excellent (88-100 points)
