Learning outcomes: Integral competence (IC): the ability to solve problems of a research and/or innovative nature in the field of law. General competences (GC): GC2. Ability to develop projects and manage. Special (professional subject competences): SС1. Ability to apply the principles of the rule of law to clarify complex tasks and problems, including in situations of legal uncertainty. SС2. Ability to analyze and evaluate the impact of the legal system of the European Union on the legal system of Ukraine. SС3. The ability to analyze and evaluate the impact of the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as the practice of the European Court of Human Rights on the development of the legal system and law enforcement in Ukraine. SC4. The ability to evaluate the interaction of international law and international legal systems with the legal system of Ukraine. SC7. Ability apply knowledge and understanding of the basic principles (principles) and procedures of judicial proceedings in Ukraine. SC8. Ability to use mediation and other legal tools of alternative out-of-court proceedings and resolution of legal disputes. SC9. Ability to apply an interdisciplinary approach in the assessment of legal phenomena and law enforcement activities. SC11. With the ability to critically evaluate the effectiveness of representation and protection of the rights, freedoms and interests of clients. SС12. Ability to develop and approve ethical standards of legal activity, standards of professional independence and responsibility of a lawyer. SС13. The ability to convey information, ideas, the content of problems and the nature of optimal solutions to specialists and non-specialists in the field of law with proper reasoning. SС14. The ability to independently prepare drafts of normative legal acts, justify the social conditioning of their adoption, predict the results of their impact on relevant social relations. Learning outcomes (LО): LО1. Assess the nature and character of social processes and phenomena, and demonstrate an understanding of the limits and mechanisms of their legal regulation. LО2. Correlate the modern system of civilizational values with legal values, principles and professional ethical standards. LО8. Assess the reliability of information and the reliability of sources, effectively process and use information for conducting scientific research and practical activities. LО14. Justify the legal position at various stages of law enforcement. Knowledge (Knowledge): K2 Critical understanding of problems in the field and at the border of the field of knowledge. Skills and abilities (S&A): S&A3 Ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments with incomplete or limited information, taking into account aspects of social and ethical responsibility. Communication (K): K1 Clear and unambiguous presentation of one's own knowledge, conclusions and arguments to specialists and non-specialists, in particular, to students. Summary of the subject: The workshop on legal competences is a field of knowledge and practical skills that is formed at the intersection of language-communicative and logical-mathematical knowledge, within which the abilities to think in verbal and sign-symbolic images, to operate with logical categories, to structure information, to carry out basic mental operations, are laid down. (analysis, synthesis, evaluation, etc.) etc.
Assessment methods and criteria: Assessment of student learning outcomes is carried out in accordance with the 100-point assessment scale established at Lviv National Polytechnic University, and in accordance with the Regulations on rating assessment of student achievement. The final grade in the discipline consists of the assessment of the Current control (CC) of learning outcomes during the academic term and the assessment of learning outcomes during the Semester control (SC). Semester control (SC) is conducted in the form of a credit according to the accumulative system, in the period provided by the schedule of the educational process of the University. Credit (C) is a form of SC of student learning outcomes in the discipline for the academic term. Credit includes theoretical questions, tasks that require a creative approach and the ability to synthesize the acquired knowledge and apply them in solving practical problems, according to the material provided by the working program of the academic discipline.
