Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying the academic discipline is for students to acquire the basics of fundamental knowledge in physics, and the result of the study will be their use of knowledge in physics for the analysis of biotechnological processes.
Завдання: • integral competence: INC. The ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions in biotechnology and bioengineering, or in the learning process, which involves the application of theories and methods of biotechnology and bioengineering; • general competencies: GC1. Ability to apply knowledge in practical situations; GC5. Ability to learn and master modern knowledge; GC6. Skills of performing safe activities; • professional competences: PC1. Ability to use knowledge of mathematics and physics to the extent necessary to achieve other results of the educational program; PC13. The ability to evaluate the efficiency of the biotechnological process; PC14. The ability to use modern automated control systems for the production of biotechnological products for various purposes, their technical, algorithmic, informational and software support for solving professional tasks;
Learning outcomes: Program learning outcomes: PR01. To be able to apply modern mathematical methods to solve practical problems related to the research and design of biotechnological processes. Use knowledge of physics to analyze biotechnological processes; AaR. Ability to adapt to new situations and make appropriate decisions. The ability to realize the need for lifelong learning in order to deepen the acquired and acquire new professional knowledge. The ability to take responsibility for the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics. The ability to understand the basic principles of ecology, occupational health and safety, and to apply them.
Required prior and related subjects: Previous educational disciplines: higher mathematics. Associated and subsequent academic disciplines: physical and colloidal chemistry, biophysics, processes and devices of biochemical engineering.
Summary of the subject: The educational discipline of physics for students of the first (bachelor) level of education in the specialty of biotechnology and bioengineering includes 7 topics of lectures, 13 topics of practical classes, 7 laboratory works in three educational laboratories and one calculation work for full-time students. The learning outcomes will be knowledge of basic physical concepts, phenomena and laws, the ability to independently plan and conduct a physical experiment, analyze its results, use devices for measuring mechanical, thermodynamic, electrical and optical quantities. These classes cover sections of physics from mechanics and molecular physics to atomic physics and are an important component of the fundamental training of students majoring in 162 biotechnology and bioengineering.
Опис: Kinematics and dynamics. Elements of mechanics of liquids and gases. Mechanical oscillations and waves. Molecular-kinetic theory of an ideal gas. Basics of thermodynamics. Electrostatics and direct electric current. Electromagnetism. Wave and quantum optics. Elements of atomic and molecular physics, atomic nucleus and solid state physics.
Assessment methods and criteria: Current control – performance and protection of laboratory work, performance and protection of calculation work, test control of independent work. Examination control - test, verification of problem solving, oral survey
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Criteria for student learning outcomes evaluation: Maximal grade points for different learning activity Current control - 40 grade points among them: laboratory works – 20 grade points self-study control – 10 grade points graphical-calculated work – 10 grade points Examination – 60 grade points among them: written component – 50 grade points oral component – 10 grade points Maximal grade points for different learning activity for semester – 100 grade points
Порядок та критерії виставляння балів та оцінок: 100–88 points – (“excellent”) awarded for a high level of knowledge (some inaccuracies are allowed) of the educational material of the component, the ability to analyze the phenomena being studied, to clearly and logically answer the questions posed, the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems ; 87–80 points – (“very good”) is awarded for knowledge of the educational material of the component above the average level, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions asked (a small number of inaccuracies are possible), the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 79–71 points – (“good”) is awarded for a generally correct understanding of the educational material of the component, including calculations, reasoned answers to the questions posed, which, however, contain certain (insignificant) shortcomings, for the ability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical tasks; 70-61 points - ("mediocre") is awarded for mediocre knowledge of the educational material of the component, poorly reasoned answers, weak application of theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 60–50 points – (“satisfactory”) awarded for poor knowledge of the component’s educational material, inaccurate answers, poor application of theoretical principles when solving practical problems; 49–26 points – (“unsatisfactory” with the possibility of retaking the semester control) awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to apply theoretical provisions when solving practical problems; 25-00 points - ("unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study) is awarded for ignorance of a significant part of the educational material of the component, significant errors in answering questions, inability to navigate when solving practical problems, ignorance of the main fundamental provisions.
