Мета вивчення дисципліни: The purpose of studying this discipline is to get acquainted with the types of raw materials for various biotechnological processes, to determine the advantages of using various components. Familiarization with the methods of identification and quantitative determination of the content of the main components in a substance, in particular in food products. Studying the main methods of waste disposal by biotechnological methods is an extremely promising direction for improving environmental indicators.
Завдання: Ability to learn and master modern knowledge The ability to use professional knowledge and practical skills to solve specific tasks in the field of biotechnology and bioengineering. The ability to use design methodologies for the production of biotechnological products for various purposes, to carry out technical and economic evaluation of production, scientific and technical developments. The ability to choose and use appropriate equipment, tools and methods for the implementation and control of processes and production of biotechnological products for various purposes. Ability to apply knowledge about raw materials, substrates, nutrient media, waste for bioconversion and biosynthesis. The ability to manage technological processes and support the product quality management system operating at the enterprise Ability to apply knowledge of biochemical transformations in the cells of microorganisms.
Learning outcomes: To be able to determine and analyze the main physical and chemical properties of organic compounds that are part of biological agents. Using microbiological, chemical, physical, physicochemical and biochemical methods, to be able to carry out chemical, technological, microbiological control of microbiological purity and sterility of biotechnological products of various purposes. Basic knowledge of biotechnological processes of production of food, agrotechnical and bioenergy products and technological regimes of biomass processing. Basic knowledge of biotechnological productions, taking into account all aspects of the given task, including creation, adjustment, operation, maintenance and disposal. Knowledge of the basic principles of quality management of processes and products of biotechnological industries of various profiles. The ability to take responsibility for the work performed, to make decisions independently, to achieve the set goal in compliance with the requirements of professional ethics;

Summary of the subject: As a result of human industrial, agricultural and domestic activities, various changes in the state and properties of the environment occur, the limits of the natural productivity of the biosphere become more visible - natural resources and energy sources are depleted, and the shortage of food, clean water and air is increasingly felt. Biotechnology offers environmental benefits in the treatment of contaminated soil, water or air and clean technologies. Environmental advantages can occur due to the use of less environmentally harmful raw materials, implementation of energy-saving technologies and improvement of processing. Biotechnological innovations significantly replace a chemical, mechanical or agricultural process and should be more economical compared to existing processes. Also, biotechnological innovations greatly contribute to labor savings and the creation of completely new varieties of plants, animal breeds, food products or medicines. Biotechnological waste disposal. Ways of biodegradation of solid waste. Methods of assessment of solid waste biodegradation. Waste disposal methods at landfills. Biological system of waste biodegradation at landfills. Utilization and disinfection of sludge from bioremediation stations. Biosystems of composting. Bioremediation of water, soil and atmosphere using the metabolic potential of biological objects - plants, fungi, insects and other organisms or their enzymes.
Опис: Nutrient media. Types, advantages and disadvantages of artificial and natural nutrient media. Ingredients of nutrient media. Utilization of waste by biotechnological method. Ways of biodegradation of solid waste. Methods of estimation of solid waste biodegradation. Methods of waste disposal in landfills. Biological degradation system of waste at landfills. Utilization and disinfection of sludge from bio-clearing stations. Biosystems of composting. Bioremediation of water, soil and atmosphere using the metabolic potential of biological objects - plants, mushrooms, insects and other organisms or their enzymes.
Assessment methods and criteria: • written report from laboratory work, oral questioning, final test - 40 points; • final control (test) - 60 points (written-oral form).
Критерії оцінювання результатів навчання: Current control is carried out during lectures and laboratory classes in order to check the level of assimilation of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of the student. PC is carried out in the form of: performance of an individual scientific task in the form of a KR control work, written and oral control and defense of laboratory works. Semester control is carried out in the form of an exam. The exam is a form of SC of the student's training results exclusively for all types of work provided by the program of the academic discipline.
